With its irresistibly soft texture and delicious flavour, this naan effortlessly transcends expectations, making it the perfect appetizer or companion to elevate any meal.
- 1 1/4 cup Queen St. Bakery Superfood Baking Gluten-Free Flour
- 1 cup Silk's vegan almond yogurt
Garlic Butter (optional)
- 3 tbsp melted vegan butter
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tbsp dried or fresh parsley
- Olive oil
INSTRUCTIONS
- In a mixing bowl, combine 1 1/4 cup of gluten-free flour and 1/2 cup of vegan almond yogurt. Mix and knead the ingredients together until a smooth dough ball is formed.
- Flour a clean surface and divide the dough into 4 equal pieces. Roll out each mini dough ball into a naan-like shape using a rolling pin. Aim for a thickness that suits your preference.
- Add a little olive oil to a heated pan over medium heat.
- Place one rolled-out dough in the pan and cook each side for 1-2 minutes or until you see golden brown specks. Repeat the process for the remaining pieces of dough, adding more oil to the pan if needed.
- This step is optional; in a separate pan, melt 3 tbsp of vegan butter, add minced garlic to the melted butter and sauté until fragrant. Stir in 1 tbsp of dried or fresh parsley and mix well.Once all the naans are cooked, brush the melted vegan butter mixture over the top of each naan.
